Fins @ Chiefs: 4Keys to Delfin-Sieg

*Key scale below.

Skeleton Key: R.N.K.; Receivers, not Kelce. This will be vital to Miami’s success on Sunday. Fangio needs to focus on Travis. He is to the Kansas City offense what Tyreek is to the Fins’. If the Dolphin, or Delfin as our German friends say, D can force Mahomes to use his receivers and not find Kelce consistently it will severely hamper what the Chiefs offense is trying to accomplish.

Front Door: Punish Patrick; Again, the Dolphin defense needs to step up on Sunday in eastern Europe and make every drop back painful for Patrick. Would love to see them collect three sacks as Denver did last week, or more. But just knock him around, and get him off his target. He should have the dirtiest kit on the field or pitch if I’m using kit. The Broncos hurried him into throwing two interceptions and zero touch downs. The Chiefs offensive line is vulnerable and Miami’s Front Fins need to make them pay. This will let our secondary hunt.

Garage Door: Who’s coming to dinner?; Miami needs a guest to join the party. I want Tyreek to stay on pace for two thousand, but the Fins need friends. Give them the garage key and let them come in. Waddle stepped up nicely last week, can he keep that momentum? How about the new addition, Claypool, he grabbed his first reception, is it time to start getting him more involved? Wilson Jr, both of them, had solid games versus the Patriots, will they keep things on track? Kansas City’s defense is formidable and Coach McD is going to have to figure out how to get the offense flowing. Against Buffalo and Philadelphia the “Greatest Show” was awfully slow.

Bathroom: Banging on the door cheeks clenched; We’ve been there. If both teams play to their capabilities no reason to believe this game won’t come down to a last possession. Much like that Bills-Chiefs classic a couple years ago. Who will make the play? Will Sanders come up clutch? Will this defense make a stop on third or fourth down when it is absolutely required? Will Hill drop a surefire touchdown on a slant as he did in Philly? These are the overlooked lock picks that decide balanced battles. One crumb from the cookie falls and skips to the other side of the scale and tips the weight of the game or season. Will Miami finally make that moment theirs or will they continue to be the behemoths of the bottom, the lords of the lowly, the caesars of the cellar?

  1. Skeleton: unlocks every door, the most important one
  2. Front Door: main entrance
  3. Bathroom: emergency key when you’re locked out
  4. Garage: visitor’s way into the house
